About
Welcome back BRIGHT EYES – our beloved indie-rockers who make their much-anticipated return to Australia this Spring in a national tour taking the band from north to south, east to west in one big celebration of 25 years of great music.
BRIGHT EYES’ first two albums were released in 1998: A Collection of Songs Written and Recorded 1995–1997 and Letting Off the Happiness – beginning a worldwide love affair with the Omaha trio consisting of Conor Oberst, Mike Mogis and Nate Walcott.
The band last toured Australia 12 years ago, back in 2011 before a nine-year hiatus. So it’s a good thing the three friends are back together and bringing their vast career-spanning repertoire Down Under plus playing new music from their most recent album Down In The Weeds, Where The World Once Was(2020).
“It’s a blast to finally be able to present the great Bright Eyes here in all their colourful glory. Conor and I have had a history over many years but are yet to present the goodness of he and his pal’s excellent catalogue of life-shaping music to music lovers down here. Strap in for the night of your musical lives’ friends.” BT, Love Police
Fans will be delighted to experience the band’s traversed genre and sound that ranges from fuzzy folk to electrified rock, even country twang. Across ten albums, BRIGHT EYES have played with everyone and everywhere, sharing their sharp songwriting and musicianship across the world. We’re stoked to have them play here again. Let’s hear it for BRIGHT EYES! This October and November. Don’t miss out!
